Academic Programs International This program, run in cooperation with Amherst and Boston campuses of the University of Massachusetts at the University of Paris (Sorbonne), Paris VII (Diderot) and Paris IX (Dauphine) Universities, allows students of all language levels to study French language and culture in one of the world's most cosmopolitan cities.
Overview API students in Paris will study French language and a variety of cultural electives. Students will earn 12-19 credits/semester; year students will earn 32-38 credits. American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) AIFS is your one stop for seeing the world. Over the last 40 years AIFS has sent more than 1.2 million students to study in dozens of cities across the world. Studying at University of Paris IV will give students the opportunity to better their language skills with a variety of French level courses offered from beginner to advanced.
Overview AIFS in Paris offers something for everyone. Learn French for the first time or perfect your language skills at an advanced level. A two-week language preparation and orientation on the French Riviera is offered at the start of the semester. Honors level courses are available for students who place into the advanced level of French language. Additionally, students must be registered for courses on French history, art, literature and sociology taught in English, offered at various institutions in Paris.

Central College Abroad The Central College Paris Program, our oldest program and one of the longest continuously operating American programs at the Sorbonne, was established in 1965. State University of New York (SUNY) The State University of New York (SUNY) currently offers more than 400 overseas study programs in more than 50 countries: in North and South America, Africa, Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Programs range from 2-3 week intensive courses to a semester or academic year abroad. Courses are available in more than 100 subjects, ranging alphabetically from aboriginal studies and aerospace engineering to western philosophy and women's studies. While many programs focus on language learning and are conducted in the language of the host country, many others are conducted wholly or partly in English.
Overview The State University of New York overseas study programs are, with some exceptions, open to all SUNY and non-SUNY students, with eligibility ranging from first year to graduate level. SUNY at New Paltz The SUNY New Paltz Summer Study Abroad program in French offers four weeks of intensive study in Paris. Students take classes at the French Language and Culture Institute (ILCF), founded in 1948, which annually welcomes thousands of students from all over the world.
