Overview Our curriculum consists of history, art history, international relations, and culture classes focused on Europe and integrated with the travel itinerary. For our Cyprus-only programs, students can choose from 57 accredited programs.
Setting Programs are based in Cyprus, a beautiful island with a rich cultural and political history. Students take classes at the modern Intercollege Campus in Nicosia.

SUNY at New Paltz The East and Central European Studies Program (ECES) is especially designed program for undergraduate students who specialize or are interested in East and Central European Studies.
Overview The ECES offers a semester of course study that includes an obligatory two-week intensive Czech language course followed by semester courses. Language courses are organized from beginner through advanced levels according to the level of competence of the participants.
Setting Situated on the river Vltava, it has enjoyed fame as an awe-inspiring and beautiful city. Prague has grown up over many centuries from a small Slavonic settlement into a magnificent city.

Czech Republic: Arts, Community, and Transition This program examines the history of the Czech nation, focusing on the key issues of the twentieth century, including the formation of the Czechoslovak republic, its political and social division during and after World War II, the influence of Communism, and the post-revolutionary period, in which poets and artists assumed the reins of power.
Overview Intensive Language Study: Czech; Arts and Social Change Seminar: Czech History and Politics, Arts and Social Change, and Educational Excursions; Field Study Seminar; and Independent Study Project. (16 credits in total) 12 weeks homestay in Prague. The program generally includes field trips to neighboring countries for a comparative study of Central Europe. Excursions to neighboring regions in the Czech Republic include such cities as Cesky Krumlov, Terezin, Karlstejin, Kutna Hora, and Znojmo.
