Setting Our Dubrovnik summer school is located in a charming old building, which has recently undergone a complete renovation.
The school is just a short walk from the Imperial hotel, which makes it quite central and convenient. It is only 5 minutes walking distance from the west entrance of the old city, which is commonly referred to as "Vrata od Pila" or the Pila Gate. It is also close to the beach, harbor, cafes, bars and all facilities.
Value Cultural and Social Activities:
The Summer program includes planned social activities, lectures on Croatian history, art and culture, guided tour of Dubrovnik and day trips to the island of Lopud or the town of Cavtat, with lunch included.

SIT Study Abroad This cross-national program examines the cultural and ideological realignments in the former Yugoslavia. Through lectures and seminars in the medieval Croatian capital of Zagreb and field excursions throughout the region, you study the increasing importance of women's partnerships with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), the media, and other advocates as these changing societies confront the challenges of a new era.
Overview Intensive Language Study: Croatian; Gender, Transformation and Civil Society Seminar: Societies of the Former Yugoslavia, Grass-Roots Movements, Politics and Civil Society, Peacebuilding, International Invovlement in the Balkans, Educational Excursions; Field Study Seminar; and Independent Study Project (16 credits in total).
Setting Six to ten weeks homestay in Zagreb and one to two weeks in another location such as Serbia, slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The program includes visits to sites of historical or cultural significance to learn about facets of societal transformation.
Value Please inquire for costs: Fees include tuition, full room and board, all field trips and related fares, health and accident insurance, and other direct program expenses. Participants pay for international airfare and domestic travel to the point of departure from the USA.
