Overview The goal of the program is for participants to gain understanding and insight into the rich diversity of Chinese society by focusing on the Chinese ethnic minorities and the construction of the Chinese identity. Setting Since the 1950's, the Central University of Nationalities has been teaching foreign students about the rich ethnic, cultural and linguistic diversity that exists in China. The university consists of 10 colleges, 19 faculties, and research centers. The campus also includes an ethnic minority museum that contains traditional ethnic dress, a library containing the largest collection of ethnic minority publications and surrounding shops that sell ethnic clothing and handicrafts.

Overview The Language Intensive Program is located on the campus of the Beijing Foreign Studies University (Beijing Waiguoyu Daxue). Popularly known as Bei Wai, this university is one of Beijing's most prestigious academic institutions. State University of New York (SUNY) The State University of New York (SUNY) currently offers more than 400 overseas study programs in more than 50 countries: in North and South America, Africa, Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
