Setting Vesalius College, the international English-language college in Brussels, is a small, independent, academic institution and a partner of the Dutch-speaking Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). The VUB split in 1970 from the original Universite Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), considered the premier French-speaking university in Belgium, though Vesalius students can still take classes there. Vesalius College, with a student body of approximately 350, is located next to VUB, in an area southeast of central Brussels.
