ince its creation, Radio FM Téranga has trained 33 personnel, including journalists, comedians and reporters. The station's broadcast reaches as far as 100 to 150 kms in normal weather conditions and up to 200 kms in winter. The station broadcasts in both French and Wolof (the main tribal language of the region).

Working in a kindergarten in St. Louis with children from the ages of 3 to 6, volunteers help with a variety of activities such as arts, games and songs, and help local staff to develop stimulating new ideas to interest young children in learning. Volunteers also get involved in working with street children, known as talibés, preparing free meals, or taking some of them to the beach for the day, to give them a much needed break their daily routine of begging on the streets.

As a former colony of France, French has long been the language of education, commerce and media in Senegal. However, as in the rest of the world, Senegalese society is increasingly realizing the benefits of being able to use English. English is compulsory for Senegalese school children from the age of eleven right through high school, and many college students continue to pursue English studies alongside their major. There is also great interest among adults - particularly those working in tourism and education - to improve their English skills.

Doctors/ Nurses/ Dentists are needed immediately. Medical/Dental Interns are asked to commit to at least 1 month to their assigned facility and can stay up to a year or more.
