MondoChallenge - Kenya Contact:	Teaching in one of 2 different secondary schools in the Bomet region. This is the Maasai Mara region and known for its beautiful countryside. As the schools are all secondary schools, classes are taught in English and volunteers can teach a variety of subjects.
School Holiday Club Contact:	Volunteers will have the chance to teach and work with the wonderful children of Thika, getting to know them and learning about life in an African town. They will also be part of a larger organization dedicated to helping street children get back home and to school so they can resume a healthy, normal childhood.
KENYA: Teach English to Poor Children in Mombasa with TRAVELLERS WORLDWIDE Contact:	Our teaching placements are based on the Island of Mombasa within the suburbs. Situated on the coast, Mombasa is generally renowned for its laid back culture, but the schools offer a different contrast. They ask for your support to help push the children's education forward, and to help improve teaching techniques for the teachers. You will teach in schools where the children range from 2 years of age, up to about 16; and again, volunteers who would like to teach younger children are really appreciated. Most schools in Mombasa are quite small and so you will instantly feel as though you are part of the family! They generally range from 100 to 300 pupils at one given time. This means that class sizes are also fairly small and very manageable, normally ranging from 20 to 40, although occasionally you may have smaller classes. Some of the schools are boarding schools and some are for orphaned children. One of the schools keeps chickens and goats so that the children can learn the important things in life, one of which is to respect and to take care of others. Travellers' placements are very flexible and you can combine this project with any other Travellers project, either in the same country or in different countries.
KENYA: Coach Swimming in Mombasa with TRAVELLERS WORLDWIDE Contact:	You'll work at one school and also have the opportunity to coach at a second school if you'd like to add some extra hours of work. The school doesn't have its own pool on the grounds, so coaching takes place just outside Mombasa in a hotel swimming pool. They kindly allow the school children to use their facilities for swimming lessons. The children's existing level of swimming is fairly basic and you'll need to teach them about water safety as well. Lessons will take place during the school's PE periods, on Mondays to Fridays, in the mornings and afternoons. The school also takes part in 3 swimming galas each year against other local schools. The dates of these galas are normally around early April, early August and mid November and you can assist in these galas if they fall during your placement.

Travellers Worldwide Care for Orphans and Underprivileged Children in Mombasa, Kenya Contact:	A very rewarding social care project with some of Kenya's poorest and most disadvantaged children, many of whom have become orphans after the devastating HIV/AIDS virus has affected their families. These children are often left without surviving relatives that can look after them and, with no means to look after themselves, they are forced to live on the streets. Such a life can lead to drugs, abuse and extreme poverty.

i-to-i Meaningful Travel Community work with children in Mombasa, Kenya Contact:	This project encompasses a number of projects that aim to alleviate some of the difficult circumstances facing many young people living in Mombasa today. There are opportunities to work with children who have been abandoned; orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS; or whose families may be entrenched in poverty and unable to take care of them. Many of these children are street kids who receive care and education at rescue centers and children's homes. These projects exist to rescue, rehabilitate, educate and relocate children who have suffered great hardships as a result of poverty and difficult family backgrounds.
Original Volunteers - Kenya Contact:	As a volunteer you will be helping at educational centres and orphanages for orphans and street children between the ages of 5 and 17 (although this can vary) in Mombasa.
