This project encompasses a number of projects that aim to alleviate some of the difficult circumstances facing many young people living in Mombasa today. There are opportunities to work with children who have been abandoned; orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS; or whose families may be entrenched in poverty and unable to take care of them. Many of these children are street kids who receive care and education at rescue centers and children's homes. These projects exist to rescue, rehabilitate, educate and relocate children who have suffered great hardships as a result of poverty and difficult family backgrounds.

Care for Orphans and Underprivileged Children in Mombasa, Kenya

A very rewarding social care project with some of Kenya's poorest and most disadvantaged children, many of whom have become orphans after the devastating HIV/AIDS virus has affected their families. These children are often left without surviving relatives that can look after them and, with no means to look after themselves, they are forced to live on the streets. Such a life can lead to drugs, abuse and extreme poverty.

Teaching in one of 2 different secondary schools in the Bomet region. This is the Maasai Mara region and known for its beautiful countryside. As the schools are all secondary schools, classes are taught in English and volunteers can teach a variety of subjects.
