Semester at Sea sails three voyages each year for academic credit. Unlike traditional immersion programs, we give you a taste of the entire globe as you travel more than 24,000 nautical miles to as many as 12 off-the-beaten-path international destinations or to a fascinating world region for intensive exploration. Approximately 75 upper- and lower-level courses are offered in a variety of subject areas.

University of Reading
; ; The modern Whiteknights Campus of the University of Reading is the academic anchor of ISA's England program, and is set on 300 acres of landscaped parkland which was once a medieval manorial estate. The campus provides an ideal setting for a modern university. ISA participants live in the arranged dorm housing with British and international students.

; ; The University of Reading has a rich history dating back to the second half of the nineteenth Century, when local initiatives established schools of arts and sciences in the region. The campus includes a conservation area with many trees and farms for agricultural teaching and research. There is an enrollment of 7,700 full-time undergraduate students and over 5,200 postgraduates, with approximately 20% of the students coming from overseas. The university operates on a trimester schedule and offers a wide variety of courses available in over forty departments.

; ; Students are encouraged to make use of the Reading University Students' Union (RUSU), a hub for social activities that is centrally located on campus. Over 100 clubs and societies provide opportunities for ISA participants to meet students from England and from all over the world. Students are sure to find an activity of interest in areas such as sports, recreation, culture, politics, and education. Students may utilize numerous sports facilities on and off campus.

The University of Toronto offers 4 to 6 week summer courses in Australia, France, Italy, China, Ecuador, Mexico, England, Germany, Central Europe (Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Poland), Jordan, Kenya, Russia and Japan.
