The Intermediate Program, which offers students with one year of university level French to take an intensive 7-credit French course equivalent to a year of French.
The Advanced Program, which offers students a menu of interdisciplinary courses taught in French in French Language, Cultural/Francophone Studies, Photography, Sociology and Theater. Cultural excursions throughout Provence will be an integral part of the program. This program is for students who have taken four or more semesters of French.

IFALPES, the Institut Francais des Alpes, with two sites -- Annecy or Chambery -- specializes in the teaching of French language courses. The methodology is direct and communicative, and the program is intensive --four hours or more daily. The academic program is under the supervision of the Universite Catholique de Lyon and is identical in Chambery and Annecy.

Edu-Culture International ECI - High School Summer Host Family Immersion In Lyon

3 days in Nice, 2 weeks with carefully selected and matched immersion host families in Lyon, most of whom have teenagers of a similar age to our participants.
Whenever possible, we also incorporate Language Partners into our programs. These young people are usually university students who work to enrich the total experience by providing our group with lots of opportunities for integration into the community and practice in conversational French. Together with small groups of our students, they explore the town, participate in a variety of activities, and discuss an assortment of topics in French, such as entertainment, school, politics, travel, vacations, sports, and much more.
Designed to be fun, as well as challenging, ECI's programs provide students with an unforgettable and exhilarating once-in-a-lifetime experience - participants gain a global perspective and strengthen their college applications.

This two-week program will immerse participants in the grandeur of Provence through an on-site study that explores the Roman ruins, and architecture from the Romanesque period, and the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as works by Vincent van Gogh and Paul Cézanne, among other artists. We will visit Arles, where Van Gogh’s “Yellow House” still stands, and Saint Remy-de-Provence, where he painted “Starry Night.” Additional excursions with on-site lectures to Aix-en-Provence, Nîmes, Orange and Les Baux de Provence will complement classroom study.
Participants will stay in the heart of the medieval walled city of Avignon, one of the most beautiful and historically important cities of the region. Walking tours within Avignon, such as the renowned Popes’ Palace are also included.
