Brookdale Community College Rwanda: Roads to Recovery - Lending a Helping Hand

June 28 – July 16, 2010 This 19 day short term study abroad trip to Rwanda, Africa will be a profound cultural exchange experience for participants from a wide variety of academic interests. Participants will interact and work directly with community members, students and faculty from the Kigali Health Institute in Kigali and Kibuye, Rwanda. The program is designed as a service learning program where participants will take part in community service and educational projects as part of their experiences. | ||

This is an international workcamp experience. North American Volunteers begin with an orientation near Washington DC June 21-22 and depart for Rwanda the evening of June 22. First experience in Rwanda will be a 3 day AVP (Alternatives to Violence Program) workshop with African team members. Workcamp ends July 25. | ||
