The SUNY New Paltz Summer Study Abroad program in French offers four weeks of intensive study in Paris. Students take classes at the French Language and Culture Institute (ILCF), founded in 1948, which annually welcomes thousands of students from all over the world. It is located within the prestigious Catholic Institute of Paris (ICP), a stone's throw from the Latin Quarter, Saint-Germain-des-Pres and Montparnasse districts in Paris. Courses are offered at all levels. Course offerings emphasize language proficiency, culture and literature. The program provides students with immersion experience and opportunity to earn 6 academic credits in a relatively short period of time. It also provides the opportunity for undergraduate students to complete their language requirement and enhance their linguistic skills.

Catholic University of Paris
; ; The Catholic University of Paris, or the "Catho", founded in 1875, is located in the heart of Paris. With only 6,000 students in attendance, students are enrolled in smaller classes, enabling better ratio of student to teacher interaction. While the Catho is a historically catholic university, its curriculum, campus life, and student activities are secular in nature. The student body is comprised of people from all religious backgrounds and diversity is embraced. The language division, or the Institut de Langue et de Cultures Françaises (ILCF), founded in 1948, is the primary place of study for international students. Every year the department welcomes over 2,000 students from around the world. The ILCF has upwards of 45 professors specialized in teaching French as a foreign language and qualified to prepare each student for certification at every level. In addition, other departments at the university have opened their doors to international students, allowing a challenging curriculum in a multitude of subjects and the opportunity to study with local French students. The challenges and variety offered by the Catholic University of Paris makes for an ideal setting for study abroad students.

Fine Arts courses are taught in English and lead students throughout the city of Paris to notable museums, monuments and sites of interest. IESEG School of Management offers you a unique possibility to study European Business & Management in our new Paris Campus.

In this four-week programme in July, not only you will be taught by leading IESEG faculty and other internationally renowned lecturers; but also get to meet friends from all over the world and to have a taste of the Art de Vivre.

The IESEG International Summer Academy is organised in conjunction with the European Summer Programme at Lille Catholic University.

Goal:
This July four-week intensive programme in our Paris Campus is designed to deepen the understanding of Business and Management within the broader context of Europe and the world; it gives students the unique opportunity to build critical business skills and study first-hand the European Business and Management approach. Emphasis is placed on the important role of Corporate Social Responsibility in the 21st century.

Character:
The interdisciplinary approach that unites all IESEG courses as well as the connection of different forms of learning, such as class discussions and excursions to various sites of interest, enrich the academic curriculum of each course. The IESEG International Summer Academy seeks to bring together students from all over the world. Students can earn up to 12 ECTS credits transferable to their home university. IESEG offer various business and management course options taught in English, which give the students the unique opportunity of studying in Paris regardless of their knowledge of the French language. Moreover, for students who are also interested in learning more about the French language and culture, we have complemented our curriculum with French language courses at four levels of proficiency.
The distinguished Summer Academy faculty consisting of fully qualified professors deliver courses that focus on topics in their respective areas of research. In order to assure maximum interaction between students and faculty, participation is limited to 30 to 40 students per class.
