Morocco: Intensive Arabic Language and Moroccan Culture

Given recent world events, interest in Arabic language study has grown tremendously. SIT, one of only a few schools to offer study abroad programs in Arabic-speaking countries, now offers a new summer program in Morocco. This program offers intensive Modern Standard Arabic (Fus'ha) and an introduction to Moroccan culture and Moroccan Arabic (Darija) through cultural and linguistic immersion. Language classes are run in conjunction with the Center for Cross-Cultural Learning in Rabat. Located in a nineteenth-century Andalusian home in the old Medina of Rabat, the Center hosts educational programs and organizes other cultural events, such as artistic shows and performances, for local communities.
