This is a four-week program of intensive German language instruction for students who have had at least one semester of German. The program is based at the Herder Institute of the University of Leipzig in Saxony. Included will be tours and overnight excursions, as well as intensive instruction leading to four credits.

The course will consist of 60 units of instruction of 45 minutes each. Classes will be held at the campus in Wieblingen. There is a direct 15-minute bus ride from the campus to the school. Classes are limited to 15 students. Books, health and accident insurance as well as a ticket for public transportation in Heidelberg are all included in the fee.

It is a combined 8-week academic and internship program in the area of sustainable development, environmental education and regional development. The seminars, workshops and the German language courses of the first three weeks prepare students for their following 5-week academic team intenship.
