UNTREF is the first public university in Argentina to have ever designed a program specifically for foreign students and holds numerous teaching alliances with universities in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the United States. All of its professors hold international degrees and have worked or studied abroad themselves. Since the university's inauguration in 1995 has grown to offer 18 different majors to over 3000 students.
