This 3-credit ABA-Approved study abroad program is a joint program of the DRI at Hamline Law and Yeshiva University Benjamin Cardozo School of Law, in cooperation with the Central European University. US students learn side-by-side with colleagues from around the world, including representation from Central and Eastern Europe. In a highly interactive learning experience, students are introduced to mediation models and strategies to foster and support democratic and constructive dialogue.

Nice Study Abroad Program
Courses offered in the Nice Program have an international focus and compare American and European approaches to law. All classes are conducted in English, and require no prerequisites. Classes meet four times per week, Monday through Thursday. In addition to the law courses and guest lectures, a French conversation course is offered to registrants without an additional charge. The conversation course, which is not offered for college credit, is available to registrants and accompanying persons.

Students learn the foundations of US and international arbitration law, and international trade and investment law and commercial arbitration, and are able to serve as an advocate in a mock arbitration before experienced arbitrators.
