Setting Description:
Limerick is a unique, small city with a population of 80,000 in the Shannon region, on Ireland's west coast. It is historic and yet modern in its architecture, industry, and ambience. Georgian cathedrals and castles contrast with high-rises built in the last 10 years, giving the city a new feel while still offering its old historical routes to visitors. The city is also known for its playwrights and actors, and there are always theatrical events to attend. The city is easily accessible by air, train, or coach and is only 20 km from the Shannon Airport, allowing for easy and cheap access to major cities in the UK and Europe.
