Program Overview

Program Description:
The University at Albany's exchange affiliation with Moscow State University enables students to take Russian language courses as well as some Russian Studies courses, taught in English, through our partnership with Knowledge Exchange Institute (KEI). This study abroad option is intended for students who are interested in developing their Russian language skills and in pursuing in-depth study of subjects related to Russia.

All students are required to take a Russian Studies Seminar (3-credit and taught in English), a Russian language course (up to 12-credit). In additional to the seminar and the language course, students can also choose to take up to 3 Russian Studies course(s) (3-credit each) that are taught in English. Students with advanced Russian may opt by prior arrangement to take some or all of their courses in any academic field offered in the Faculty of Foreign Languages between 12-18 credits.

The group will have on-site support from a local person who serves as the coordinator of the University at Albany's semester programs.The coordinator organizes a thorough orientation after arrival and is available to assist students with any issues that might arise throughout the semester.
