New York University, Tisch School of the Arts New York University, Tisch School of the Arts is one of the nation's leading centers of undergraduate and graduate study in the performing and media arts. The Office of Special Programs offers students from other colleges and universities a variety of opportunities to study with Tisch. Our study abroad programs are offered in the spring, summer, and fall. Tisch Special Programs has partnered with world famous institutions and organizations to offer students training not available in the United States. The Tisch tradition of excellence continues with programs in Accra, Amsterdam, Dublin, Florence, Johannesburg, London, Nice, Paris, Prague, and Shanghai. Spring at Tisch offers a concentrated semester program in the arts paired with the opportunity to live in New York City, the artistic and cultural capital of the world. Tisch Summer offers a variety of performing and media arts courses and internships in New York City and abroad.
China
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our semester program with the Shanghai Theatre Academy offers students a unique semester of drama training. Students study Chinese opera training, which includes singing, speaking, gesturing and fighting. Stage design also is incorporated into the course work as well as an introduction to Mandarin and a survey of the arts and culture of China. Students earn 16 points (credits).
Czech Republic
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our semester program in Prague offers students the opportunity to study 35mm film directing and cinematography, plus additional courses in screen writing, arts and culture, history and acting. This program is offered in collaboration with the Prague Film and Television Academy of the Performing Arts (FAMU) one of Europe's oldest and most prestigious film schools. Students earn 18 points (credits).
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our summer program in Prague is a master class in 35mm directing and cinematography. Czech cinema and culture also is studied. This program is offered in collaboration with the Prague Film and Television Academy of the Performing Arts (FAMU). Students earn 8 points (credits).
England
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our program in London offers students the opportunity to study Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, dramatic writing, with instructors from the Writer's Guild of Great Britain recorded music and television production at the BBC. The program is offered in collaboration with the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Students earn 12-18 points (credits).
France
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our summer program in Paris offers students the opportunity to produce short nonfiction video incorporating some aspect of the city as the subject. French cinema also is studied. Students earn 8 points (credits).
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our program in Nice offers students the opportunity to study 3-D animation and experimental video, as well as an introduction to digital cinematography. The program takes place at the Villa Arson, the national center for contemporary art in Nice. Students collaborate with other filmmakers at the Museum of Contemporary Arts, Direction des Affaires Culturelles, and Telecom Valley-Sophia Antipolis. Students earn 8 points (credits).
Ghana
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our summer program in Ghana offers students the opportunity to study performance and arts and culture while living in this West African country. The program is offered in collaboration with faculty from the University of Ghana and the National Theatre. Students earn 8 points (credits).
Ireland
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our program in Dublin offers students the opportunity to study arts and culture, drama, dramatic writing and music video production while living in this vibrant European capital. The program is offered in collaboration with faculty from several Irish universities, Hot Press magazine and various theater companies. A community arts project is also run in conjunction with the National College of Art and Design and the Dublin Institute of Technology. Students earn 16 points (credits).
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our program in Dublin offers students the opportunity to study acting, Irish drama, contemporary cinema, and photography. Cultural and social activities as well as day trips to historical sites complement the academic courses. Students earn 8 points (credits).
Italy
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	Our programs in Florence include acting, writing for stage or screen, commedia dell'arte and film production. Students live and attend classes at NYU's La Pietra, a 57-acre estate with an extensive Renaissance art collection and formal gardens. Students earn 8 points (credits).
Netherlands
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Contact:	The International Theatre Workshop in Amsterdam offers serious acting students the opportunity to deepen their existing technique and to be exposed to a wide range of approaches to live performance and the creation of original work. Students earn 8 points (credits).
Singapore
New York University, Tisch School of the Arts Asia Contact:	For more than 40 years, Tisch School of the Arts has drawn on the vast resources of New York University and New York City to create an extraordinary training ground for artists and scholars to become a premier center in the world for performing and media arts training. In 2007, NYU Tisch School of the Arts Asia opened in Singapore, offering students an opportunity to receive the same training available in New York. At Tisch Asia, students have the opportunity to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in dramatic writing or film and television. A program in animation and visual arts is currently being developed.
South Africa
New York University, Tisch School of the Art Contact:	Our semester program in Johannesburg offers students the opportunity to study arts and culture, performance theater-making and documentary film making. The program is offered in collaboration with faculty from the University of the Witwatersrand. Students earn 16 points (credits).
