CET History of Art and Italian Studies in Florence

Vanderbilt's Florence program is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of Italy's art heritage. The program takes advantage of the rich artistic treasures of Florence, and all courses incorporate excursions to local sites. CET Florence is one of the few study abroad programs that uses Art History as its central focus. The program welcomes not only art history and Italian studies majors but also non-majors interested in exploring Italy's art history, language, and culture. During the 15-week fall and spring semesters, you will enroll in 15 hours/week of class. All students take the program's capstone course, Imagery and Public Space in Italy, which includes the traveling seminars. In addition, you will take six hours Italian language and two electives. Fall and spring terms are open to students who are beginners through advanced in Italian. | ||
