Curriculum Highlights: Journalism for Fashion is the basis of fashion advertising copy for media and public relations (PR). You will develop a sound understanding of its role within the wider context of the contemporary fashion industry by researching its history and understanding its growth and development. Through workshops and tuition you will expand your individual creative writing skills, learn about interview techniques and identify job opportunities within the industry.
Overview: Five weeks in Paris enables students to get to know this beautiful city well enough to start to develop an understanding of the fashion it produces and its cultural heritage. Paris is a city that is influential in creating and reporting on the trends that the world adopts, so it is an excellent place in which to study trend forecasting and fashion journalism. It is also a city that is famous for its chic and style and working on hands-on styling projects in central Paris offers an exciting and rewarding experience.
Setting Description: Paris is the city where couture began and the only city in the world where haute couture is created. Paris is famous for its luxury fashion with many of the world’s most famous luxury brands produced in the city’s ateliers. The city’s abundance of luxury designer brands is sold through flagship shops and department stores of the utmost elegance.
