Curriculum Highlights: Students will earn six units of transferable college credit while studying Renaissance art history and short stories from a multicultural point of view. Students are required to take both classes. All classes are taught in English. All classes are through Coastline Community College.
Overview: Experience the art of Renaissance Florence as part of Coastline’s Study Abroad program, Jewel of the Grand Tour. Led by a team of experts —our faculty— you’ll learn the history of the great art masters and be introduced to international short stories. Learn it as you live it in Florence, Siena, Rome, Pisa, Assisi, and the Italian countryside...and all while earning college credit!

Program Value: What’s Included • Double room in a shared student apartment in Florence; double/triple rooms on excursions. Student apartments include shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, and are located throughout Florence within walking distance of or a bus ride from classes and the city center. Housing is provided from the first day of the program. • Overseas information and resource center with ACCENT Florence on-site staff. • Overseas orientation program. • Transfers from and to the Florence airport for optional group flight participants. • Excursions, meals, and transportation as listed on the “Itinerary” page of this brochure. During the overnight excursions students will be in either double or triple rooms in two-star, or higher, hotels. • Entrance fees to museums, etc. as part of the required classes.
