Brooklyn College Art, Literature and Politics in Argentina and Uruguay
|
This program combines study of Argentine and Uruguayan art, history, literature and politics in a three-week session during the Southern Hemisphere summer. Subjects of study range from the colonial period to the present and connect art and history to difficult social questions faced by all of Latin America in the 21st century. Students choose one or two courses among three that are offered, in third-semester Spanish, 20th century literature of the River Plate countries, and a culture course focusing on national identity and the connections between the arts and contemporary problems.
