Land of the Maya: This course focuses on the ancient and contemporary Maya peoples that have inhabited the eastern lowlands for 3,500 years.

Tropical Biodiversity and Conservation in Belize

This course will examine the diversity and fragility of tropical ecosystems and ecosystem function. The struggles of implementing conservation practices in a country with widespread poverty will be explored through the visitation of conservation sites and will provide a basis for discussion of conservation policy and practice.
