The city of Krakow has formed a foundation to reclaim the site of the former work/concentration camp, Plaszow, which was brought back to public attention by the movie Schindler s List. Completely abandoned for many years, the city plans to turn the area into a memorial park not a tourist attraction, but a place for contemplation and education. Volunteers will join the effort this summer as this project begins to take shape. | ||
