School Year Abroad-Vietnam

The SYA curriculum in Vietnam includes college preparatory coursework in English, Math, AP Environmental science, and AP Economics. Students will focus on Vietnam's rapid economic growth in the major city Hanoi. Through well-organized field trips the students will also observe Vietnam's ethnic diversity in the countryside. For those students interested in keeping up with languages studied at home, tutoring will be provided in Mandarin, French and Spanish.
The service learning component of the program will introduce students to a variety of compelling projects. These may include teaching in orphanages and elementary schools, village water supply or clean-up efforts, micro-finance, or work to mitigate the lingering effects of "agent orange."
College counseling and standardized testing (SAT, PSAT, ACT, AP's) are provided.
SYA Vietnam is open for students entering 11th, 12th or a post-graduate year. The application deadline is March 1st; however, students are welcome to apply after this date for later round admissions consideration.
