More than 200,000 young people from more than 50 nations in Asia, Europe, North and South America, Africa, and the Pacific have participated in YFU exchanges. Each exchange is coordinated by a worldwide network of national YFU organizations and supported by trained and dedicated volunteers.

AFS Intercultural Programs

Year and Semester: Most students are placed in competitive schools and take courses in German, English, history, physics, chemistry, biology, and math. AFS Volunteers will also organize additional instruction in the Czech language once a week. Although you won't be taught in English, your school will try to adjust your schedule so courses are not too dependent on the Czech language. Additional instruction in the Czech language is available at an additional cost. Spending time with your new friends will also help you learn the language, and there are extracurricular activities in which you can participate, like sports, drama, or community and youth organization events.
