The ISA Experiential Learning Abroad Program (ELAP) enables participants to address the needs of a community or an organization abroad while furthering participant's personal goals of language and cultural immersion. Placements vary according to skills and interests as well as the host organization's goals.

ProWorld Intern Abroad in Peru

As a ProWorld Intern, you will work abroad with the community and one of our affiliated non-governmental organizations (NGO's), government social programs, or a ProWorld initiated project. Interns will also receive intensive language training (4 days a week/2 hours a day).

Students are also able to work on a group development project and individual internship to gain practical experience in their field of study.


ProWorld Service Corps
ProWorld: Hands on Healthcare in Peru

In conjunction with Seattle Community Colleges, ProWorld's Hands on Healthcare program offers students a two week immersive service program in the healthcare field. Participants with significant medical training may be placed in public or private hospitals, an elder care facility, adolescent rehabilitation services, and rural clinics. Participant without healthcare experience will have meaningful placements in education and other settings.
