Then three weeks of insight, exploration and adventure - canyoning in the Blue Mountains, 3 days learning to surf in coastal national parks, kayaking with dolphins in Byron Bay, backpacking on beautiful Fraser Island and exploring the Whitsunday Islands by boat. There’s also time to explore vibrant Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns. Throughout your time in Australia you’ll learn an enormous amount about Australia’s environmental and ecological history and how that unique history has shaped Australia’s flora, fauna and people.

    The intern will be working at the Children's Family Centre. He/she will be primarily be based in the Childcare department assisting in the day-to-day care of 50 2-5yr olds from approximately 26 different cultural backgrounds and the majority from low income families. This will include helping organize and run all of the programs and recreational activities for the children. There will also be the opportunity for the intern to spend part of his/her time on other programs such as those for the homeless and disadvantaged teenagers. He/she will have a very hands on role, within which he/she will learn about various aspects of social work, child care, counseling and working with the community.

    Macquarie University:Macquarie University is located 20 minutes north of Sydney's central business district on a beautiful campus. The university is known internationally for its groundbreaking research in areas as diverse as biology, earth science, laser physics, mathematics, ancient history, psychology, linguistics, management and education.

    University of Melbourne :The University of Melbourne campus is set on 22.5 beautiful landscaped hectares with buildings ranging from classic architectural styles to modern designs. The campus itself is located only 1.5 km from the city center, and is in close proximity to the Victorian Arts Center, the State Library and the National Gallery.

    Australian Internships offers two programs which are as follows:

    1) Professional Internship Program; which offers hands on experience for candidates in a wide variety of fields. All positions are unpaid and can range from 6 weeks to 6 months. The positions are available Australia wide.

    2) Professional Hospitality Internship Program; which offers positions for selected hospitality students willing to work in hands on fields such as Cookery, Food and Beverage, House Keeping and Culinary. All positions are paid and it is requested that candidates be flexible with their destinations as many positions are on Islands and Resorts in remote locations.
