Program Description:
MSc European Forestry is a top class taught masters programme in the field of forest sciences. The quality of the programme was acknowledged by the European Commission in 2004 when MSc European Forestry was awarded the Erasmus Mundus status. The MSc European Forestry is a full-time two-year 120 ECTS programme, where all the tuition and study material is in English. In this programme, seven European forestry universities collaborate intensively to offer joint courses as well as their existing curricula, based on the knowledge and experience of forest management for which European forestry was the cradle already centuries ago.

The MSc European Forestry Course provides you an ideal opportunity to get high quality education, to network with professional from all over the world and travel across Europe. During the first year, students get to travel to visit all the seven consortium universities and have the opportunity to study in a multicultural environment how forests in Europe are managed and how global challenges are solved locally. Upon successful graduation, students' receive a double degree: Master of Science in Agriculture and Forestry by the University of Eastern Finland and another MSc degree by the second study year host university.

The two-year 120 ECTS Course is well-organised and students can rely on solid support from the MSc European Forestry secretariat with regard to practical arrangements. In addition to tuition, access to libraries, computer classrooms, student benefit from: - free insurance against accidental injury or illness - free health care, including dentist - free field trips (10 weeks) including accommodation, travels and some of the meals - pre-arrival assistance in obtaining visas, residence permits, etc. - welcoming in Helsinki and Stockholm, travels and accommodation provided - well-organised internships placements in various international organisations - assistance in finding suitable student housing - student councelling
Setting Description:
The MSc European Forestry programme is run by a consortium of seven highly recognised European forestry universities: Univeristy of Eastern Finland, University of Freiburg (Germany), Wageningen University (the Netherlands), Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (Austria), AgroParisTech (France) and University of Lleida (Spain).
Cost:
Annual tuition fee is 8,000 euro (ca. 5,000 USD) for non-European nationals and 4,000 euro for European nationals.
