The Director of the elementary school has set up a secondary school, with almost no financial support, for 150 or more students ages 16-20+.       The Institute is designed for anyone interested in acquiring a basic conversational proficiency in Haitian Creole and an understanding of Haitian culture. The first four and a half weeks of instruction are in Miami, followed by an optional two weeks of study abroad in Haiti. The four-week program in Miami is divided into two parts: (Basic) Accelerated Haitian Creole is taught for the first two weeks with Intermediate Accelerated Haitian Creole immediately following.
