Course participants will have the opportunity to spend time in a Maya village and work with elders, farmers, community leaders and teachers to explore how knowledge is transmitted to the young. Activities will include visiting Tumul K’in: Centre of Learning, a Maya high school; following farmers (corn and cacao) into their fields, working with women in food preparation and conservation, visiting medicinal gardens and talking to midwives and traditional healers.
