SUNY Brockport offers six program opportunities at the following universities: The Australian National University, University of Canberra, Southern Cross University, Macquarie University, University of Sydney and the University of Western Sydney. Participants will be directly enrolled in regular university classes abroad and will choose their courses from a wide-range of those available at their university overseas. Some of our programs in Australia offer excellent part-time and full-time internships and all of our programs allow students the opportunity to discover Australia. Australian National University ANU is both a teaching institution and a center for original research in the humanities, the natural, physical, & social sciences, and the creative arts. ANU is located in the heart of Canberra, a beautifully planned garden city surrounded by native bushland. University of Canberra: Study in the capital of Australia! The University of Canberra is three hours from Sydney and two hours from scenic beaches and snowfields. It is a location ideal for exploring Australia. Fields of study include liberal arts and social sciences. Southern Cross University:Southern Cross University is located at Australia's best address, the north coast of New South Wales, 45 minutes from Byron Bay and 90 minutes by car south of the Gold Coast. This region is full of rainforests and unspoiled beaches, while the campus is home to a wide range of Australian wildlife. Fields of study include sculpture, music, painting, photography, physical education, ceramics, aquatic sciences, liberal arts, and social sciences. Macquarie University:Macquarie University is located 20 minutes north of Sydney's central business district on a beautiful campus. The university is known internationally for its groundbreaking research in areas as diverse as biology, earth science, laser physics, mathematics, ancient history, psychology, linguistics, management and education. University of Sydney:The University of Sydney is the oldest and most prestigious university in Australia with an international reputation for excellence. Its main campus is located in a prime area of the city with access to the spectacular harbor and beaches, beautiful botanical gardens and parks, museums, cinemas, and theaters. University of Western Sydney:The University of Western Sydney (UWS) is a young, energetic and rapidly growing university with six campuses all located in Sydney's Greater West region, about 30 to 90 minutes outside central Sydney. A semester at the University of Newcastle runs over fourteen teaching weeks. A ten-credit point subject normally comprises four contact hours a week. Study Abroad students must enroll for a minimum of thirty credit points and a maximum of forty credit points. | ||

Brockport is proud to offer two study abroad programs in in Victoria, Australia at the following universities: the University of Melbourne and Swinburne University of Technology. Swinburne University of Technology: Swinburne is located in Melbourne's eastern suburb of Hawthorn, a relaxed, friendly, multi-cultural area offering an exceptional and unique quality of life. Swinburne University of Technology is a multidiscipline, multicampus provider of higher education of national and international significance. Participants will have the opportunity to enroll in regular university classes at Swinburne University of Technology. Prior to departure, students select three courses per semester from those that are available to study abroad students at SUT in faculties of business; arts & social sciences; computing & information technology; design; tourism; engineering & technology; multimedia; and applied sciences. SUT also offers semester-long internship programs, that are available in most majors. All instruction is by SUT faculty. Typically, fall semester runs from mid-July through early December, and spring from early-February through mid-July. University of Melbourne: The University of Melbourne is located in Melbourne; the capital city of Victoria. Melbourne is Australia's second-largest city, famous for its relaxed friendly atmosphere, its multi-cultural population, and outstanding cuisine, all of which add to the city's exceptional and unique quality of life. The University of Melbourne is Australia's second oldest university, with a prestigious worldwide reputation for academic excellence in a wide range of subjects. The University is surrounded by shops, restaurants, art centers, libraries, sanctuaries, and beaches.
