The Istituto Venenzia has been offering language instruction for Italians and foreigners since 1994. Program participants have an opportunity to study Italian with students of all ages and from around the world. No previous knowledge of Italian is required. The Semester in Europe: Business program provides a strong introduction to European and International Business. The academic focus of this program prepares students to do business in Europe and combines coursework on European history and culture with coursework on the European business environment. Classroom work is supplemented with over 30 days of educational excursions and field exercises through 12 European countries.

Take a semester to retrace the steps of Etruscan, Roman, Medieval and Renaissance cultures by living in the three cities which embody these civilizations: Tuscania, Rome and Florence/Venice. Studentstake 15 credits (US transfer possible). Established in 1973, LdM is one of the largest and leading international schools in Italy and now offers joint programming between all four of its sites.

The Semester in the Mediterranean is a program based on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Cyprus that combines a traditional immersion study abroad experience with educational travel to Greece, Italy and Spain, with a co-curricular focus on Mediterranean cultures.

Students will experience Athens, Rome, Pisa, Florence, Venice and Barcelona on the travel component of this program. The travel component does not impact the classroom schedule and is combined with co-curricular material relating to Mediterranean culture.

The Boston University Studio Arts program at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica offers course work in graphic design or painting in a city whose museums, plazas, and canals form a truly unique classroom: Venice. Italian and international students take the same classes, and visiting artists and instructors enrich the creative atmosphere. The program integrates Venice s artistic traditions and resources into the courses. In addition to regular class meetings, students have access to the studios to work independently or with assistants. Field trips to neighboring cities and visits to local museums, galleries, and art sites complement the curriculum. Upon successful completion of a semester, students earn 18 Boston University credits.
