This program brings students to four of the greatest cultures and civilizations that the world has ever known: Greece, Rome, India and China. The cumulative artistic, philosophical, religious, cultural and social output of these societies is staggering and has exerted a tremendous influence on the underpinnings of Western and Eastern civilization. The program aims to balance study of the historical aspects of these societies with a more modern appreciation of cultural and societal differences. We are entering a modern era of globalization where the United States, Europe and Asia will play important and complementary roles. | ||
View all programs for this schoolAPI offers five wonderful locations in Italy to learn about and absorb the Italian culture and way of life. All programs are for undergraduate students. Classes are comprised of other foreign and American students. Semester, summer, and year terms are available for all programs, and a January intersession program is available in Florence. Students typically receive 12-18 credits for a semester; 3-6 credits for a summer session. Most classes are taught in English, though many are taught in Italian.
