The State University of New York (SUNY) currently offers more than 400 overseas study programs in more than 50 countries: in North and South America, Africa, Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand. The Semester in Europe: Business program provides a strong introduction to European and International Business. The academic focus of this program prepares students to do business in Europe and combines coursework on European history and culture with coursework on the European business environment. Classroom work is supplemented with over 30 days of educational excursions and field exercises through 12 European countries.

The challenging, but immensely rewarding 2-year MSc programs in various aspects of engineering are conducted in English. The programs, in the first year, generally include a combination of obligatory modules, elective modules, (group) assignments, a design project and an internship. The second year is primarily devoted to carrying out a major research thesis, with the same emphasis on original, independent research as a PhD thesis, but smaller in scope.

The Semester in Europe: Custom program combines a traditional full immersion study abroad experience with a course module focused on developing intercultural competencies, specifically around European cultures. The module contains field and co-curricular exercises related to cultural issues that take place in Cyprus and on a 17-day trip through nine other European countries. The trip allows students to compare and contrast cultural practices throughout Europe with those of Cyprus and the United States. In addition to the intercultural module, students can select four courses of their choosing.
