The State University of New York (SUNY) currently offers more than 400 overseas study programs in more than 50 countries: in North and South America, Africa, Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Programs range from 2-3 week intensive courses to a semester or academic year abroad. The program is offered in cooperation with Oslo University College (30 ECTS credits) in Global environmental management in Cape Coast, Ghana, West Africa. The course is taught through an interdisciplinary approach incorporating elements of sociology, economy, social anthropology, environmental studies, and political science. It combines a general introduction to environmental management studies with a specific focus on the West African region.
