Suny Brockport offers two program opportunities at Oxford Brookes University and Oxford University. The courses that are available vary widely and offer students choices from business, biology and humanities to technology, tourism and more. Oxford Brookes Program: Oxford Brookes University is a distinguished and popular institution. The University has an international reputation for its pioneering teaching and courses. Participants will enroll directly into Oxford Brookes University classes. Prior to departure, students select four modules/courses from the more than 1,000 modules available to study abroad students. All instruction is by Oxford Brookes University faculty. Fields of study include anthropology, biology, business, communication, English, health, humanities, law, social sciences, technology, tourism, and visual studies. The academic year consists of three ten-week semesters: late September through mid-December (autumn term), early January through mid March (one-term spring), and early January through late June(two-term spring). The Brockport Oxford Program: Oxford University is one of the oldest, most distinguished educational institution in the world. Oxford has always had a vibrant cultural, social and intellectual life to offer to all who study there. American students become visiting members of the Junior Commons Room of an Oxford College and participate in British student life while being taught by Oxford University faculty. Prior to arriving in Oxford, participants identify a topic to be studied in a primary tutorial and a secondary subject to be studied in a secondary tutorial. These tutors will, in conference with the students, develop a detailed and highly individualized academic program of tutorial meetings. Up to eight credit hours may be earned in the primary tutorial; four or five credits can be earned in the secondary tutorial (maximum of thirteen credit hours for a single term's work). Fields of study include anthropology, archeology, computer science, economics, history, humanities, languages, law, linguistics, literature, and math. Housing is in off-campus apartments. | ||

Studying in London has never been easier. Suny Brockport offers nine different program opportunities at various universities in London. Each campus offers unique academic and extracurricular activities for students to choose from. Brunel University: Located in Uxbridge, a pleasant residential suburb of London, Brunel University is about 15 miles west of London's city center. Fields of study include American studies, anthropology, business, communications, criminal justice, economics, English, history, law, management, political science, and psychology. University College London was the third university established in England with an academic excellence that has produced 10 Nobel Prize winners. UCL is located in the Bloomsbury district, within walking distance to museums, libraries, Regent's Park, and the London Zoo. Fields of study include anthropology, archeology, economics, engineering, history, humanities, languages, linguistics, literature, math, and natural sciences. Westminster has always been an international institution receiving students from all over the world. Queen Mary College, University of London: Queen Mary is one of the largest colleges of the University of London, and one of only a few campus universities in central London. For Queen Mary students this means that the area where you live can also be the environment within which you learn. Aside from the University itself, a major benefit of studying at Queen Mary is the liveliness and friendliness of the East End, an area where many people choose to live once they've graduated. Fields of study include liberal arts and social sciences. Typically, fall semester runs from early September to mid-December and spring from early February to June. City University: City University adopted its name to reflect its location on the edge of London's financial district. City University is a unique combination of professional and arts education, situated in an area that allows for professional development and personal fulfillment. King's College: In this direct enrollment program, students attend the same classes, live in the same housing, and participate in the same social, cultural, athletic, academic and extracurricular activities as their British counterparts in central London. Fields of study include computer science, history, humanities, languages, literature, math, and physical sciences. University College London: University College London is the oldest and largest college of the University of London. It is England's third oldest university and one of Britain's most prestigious educational institutions. The UCL Program offers you the opportunity to live and study in one of the world's most rewarding and cosmopolitan environments, receive instruction in small classes, seminars, and tutorials from members of the faculty of UCL and improve your writing and research skills. Middlesex University: Middlesex is a modern, multi-campus university that combines the innovative programs of a large university with the personal feel of small campuses. Middlesex campuses are widespread across three northern London boroughs and each has a designated academic focus. Typically, fall semester runs from early September to mid-December and spring from early February to early June. Part-time internships are also available. Roehampton University: The London Applied Studies Program at Roehampton University allows students the chance to gain work experience in the United Kingdom, familiarize themselves with the work environment, enhance their skills and career prospects, while they earn academic credit for this work, and, in the process, make an active contribution to the organization, agency or company in which they are placed. University of Portsmouth: The University of Portsmouth is in the heart of the ancient seafaring city of Portsmouth and much of the students' time will be spent within a 10-mile walk from the harbour or waterfront.
