COSTA RICA CONVERSA: Courses all year roundINTRODUCTION The main focus of the Centro Lingüístico CONVERSA is to teach Spanish and English as foreign languages. The university has campuses in Costa Rica's capital city, San José , and Santa Ana, roughly fifteen minutes away. Costa Rica offers a rich cultural and environmental atmosphere for students with its mild climate, national parks, volcanoes, beaches, rain forests, and wildlife refuges. The main campus is located in Santa Ana, on a former six-acre mountainside farm named El Pedregal. The program follows the teaching methods of the Peace Corps and the Foreign Service Institute. COURSES Beginning Spanish I and II, BasicSpanish Conversation, Intermediate Spanish I and II, Intermediate Conversation and Composition, Advanced Spanish, Advanced Spanish Conversation I and II. HOUSING AND MEALS Students at the Santa Ana campus are placed in a Costa Rican homestay, one student or married couple per family. They are provided with a private room and laundry service, breakfast and dinner on class days, and transportation to campus. Students may also decide to have meals with the host family on weekends. Students may also choose to live on campus in single, double, or triple occupancy rooms at an additional cost. Breakfast and lunch are provided on campus. Students studying in San José can choose either a homestay or other housing options. COSTS
