A study of Hispanic culture in your Spanish 102 class reveals that Spanish is the local language of the island paradise of Costa Rica. Recalling your recent obsession with the first 'Survivor' edition, you contrive that you could conceivably perfect your Spanish on the beach. In order to convince your parents (and your Spanish teacher!) that Costa Rica is right for you, you know that you are going to have to do some research.
