Program Overview

Program Description:
During this program, the group will have the opportunity to tour several criminal justice facilities, including Warsaw City Headquarters, regional police stations, and a regional forensic laboratory.

There will be lectures, held at various locations, on the history of the legal system in Poland; the criminal justice system in Poland; police organization and management; police training; the courts; correctional system; crime in Poland; community policing; human rights issues; victimology; scientific approaches to criminal investigation.

Understanding of the new Eastern Europe through this visit to Poland, and see this part of the world assimilate into a new world order as it takes its steps into the 21st Century.
Setting Description:
The group will be based at the International Specialist Police Training Center at the Police Academy in Legionowo, thirty minutes from Warsaw.
