Program Overview

Program Description:
Students will have the opportunity to spend 4 weeks in one of the cultural centers of Europe. The program offers one German Language Course (any level) and one course on arts and culture of Vienna around 1900.

Students will take one German language course. Each student will take a placement test, according to the result will then attend a beginning intermediate or advanced German language class. These courses will be taught by members of the IKI faculty. Students will also take ARS 252: The Arts in Vienna in 1900.

Cost of this program includes: Non-refundable application charge ($200), Tuition for six credits, Overnight accommodation, Transportation and housing on overnight trips to Salzburg and Prague, Orientation tour of Vienna; admission to museums, Welcome dinner and farewell party, and Health insurance.
Setting Description:
Vienna is located in the heart of Europe and is a cultural center packed with beautiful architectural landmarks, museums to suit all interests, and an active nightlife. Winter and summer palaces, impressive monuments, circling boulevards, and specific architectural treasures are interspersed with genteel gardens, innumerable fountains, and nearby woods and parks.
