NEW HOMEPAGE MENUS
Be sure to visit the studyabroad.com Home Page and check out our new Main Menu. We have redesigned our menu so that there are two main sections: "Program Search" options and "Information Center" options. This redesign simplifies the options for users visiting our site and should make navigation easier.
The Program Search Options include "By Country," "Summer Programs," "By Subject," "intensive Language," "Experiential," and our new "Summer Law Programs Directory." The Information Center options include the "studyabroad.com Handbook," "Related Products and Services," the "Study Abroad Forum," "What's New," "Links," and a link to our sister site, Gradschools.com
SPRINT COMES ABOARD
We will be showing banner ads for SPRINT during the month of December. SPRINT's ad agency contracted banner positions throughout both studyabroad.com and Gradschools.com to help promote their FONCARDS to students.
This is our second corporate banner deal, the first being with Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI) on our Search by Country Page. Banner advertising positions are sold on a fist come, first served basis and are available to our program sponsors as a means to supplement other advertising on our site. Banner ads are a great way to target your market on specific studyabroad.com directory pages. Banner positions can be purchased by the month, quarter or year. Rates are available through our on-line rate card at http://www.studyabroad.com/adinfo
YOU'RE INVITED
We would like to extend an invitation to all who read this newsletter to our annual Holiday Open House, to be held at our offices on Tuesday, December 23 from 11am to 4pm. We understand that many of you are on the other side of the world (this newsletter now reaches more than 800 e-mail addresses worldwide), but if by chance you will be in or near the Philadlephia area on this date, please make plans to stop by.
We will be serving lunch and light refreshments all afternoon. The open house is an opportunity to meet the clients, colleagues and friends of studyabroad.com, Gradschools.com and our parent company, Educational Directories Unlimited, Inc. Please RSVP if you wish to attend by phoning 610-364-0400 or writing to mlandon@studyabroad.com
SWEEPSTAKES COMES TO END
MAILING LISTS AVAILABLE
We have just concluded our 3rd annual "back-to-school" sweepstakes. We will be selecting our winner within the next week. This year more than 1,000 entries were received, all through our on-line entry form. We would again like to thank Student Flights, Inc. for co-sponsoring our sweepstakes.
Most of the students who entered provided some basic information about their study abroad intentions (where, when, what they want to study) and checked a box which allows us to share their names with appropriate vendors.
We will be making these names available in the form of a data file to our advertisers upon request at no charge. We will prepare a standard file in tab-separated text which should be easily imported into most database and spread-sheet applications. The standard file will include contact and study abroad preference information for all of the users who gave us the OK to forward their names.
If you are an advertiser and would like to receive this file, please send e-mail to mlandon@studyabroad.com with your request. Files will be sent within a week along with the field definitions for you to use in importing.
Non-advertisers may purchase this file for US$25.
In addition, both advertisers and non-advertisers can purchase custom versions of this data for an additional fee. We will be happy to find inquiries from students with an interest in a specific country/language/region/geographic region. The fee for custom orders is $.25 per name (minimum order is $10.for advertisers, $25.for non-advertisers).
All orders can be printed on labels for an additional $.10 per name. Send requests for custom orders to mlandon@studyabroad.com
