My TD professor for my classes at the Sorbonne is driving me nuts. She talks so, so fast and throws all this new architectural jargon and all of this crazy Greek-names-in-French lingo without caring whether or not we understand what she’s saying. Now that I have a little handheld recorder, I’ve been recording what she says, so I can go back and figure out all the iconography of the frieze on the Parthenon in Athens, Greece. Heh.
Last night, we went to the Louvre again for my Art History course with Sweet Briar. We’re learning about the French Renaissance and the chateau of Fountainebleu, so I decided that this Sunday I’m going to go on a trip to the chateau as well as Barbizon, the renowned school of some of the most famous artists of the 19th century. This weekend I should have some good stories!
