CNN.com ran a story today called "Looking beyond Europe for education, adventure" by Talya Minsberg. Ms. Minsberg does a great job of highlighting other study abroad options outside of the norm. Sure, London, Barcelona, Florence, and Paris are sexy locations and those may be the right opportunities for many, but don't forget about destinations like Costa Rica, Vietnam, Qatar and South Africa. The article ends with Peggy Blumenthal, chief operating officer of the Institute of International Education saying "You can't go wrong by studying abroad. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." Few truer words have ever been said.
